In my senior year of high school in 2019, my Graphic Design Club asked me to create a T-shirt for our school's production of "Legally Blonde." I was given the task of reviewing the source material for my design, and I realized the work's key theme: the main character's persistence in standing out in the cookie-cutter crowds at Harvard. I used my knowledge of semiotics to emphasize this point, and I used the information-sign stickmen to depict conformity. I only edited the lead to have her distinctive features: pink, stylish, and blonde. The shirt became a hit.
