My friend Dino Petrocelli is a professional photographer, and I helped him early into his career by designing his personal brand logo. My itteration has since been retired, but the core of the design is still based in mine, and he used it for a time.
Below are some of the spaces he used it for personal promotion. The black and red were his request, to my recall, but the "dp" as the focus and aperture came to me in a stroke of inspiration on hearing his need for a brand identity back in the late-2010s.
The centerpiece of was this poster. Basic image editing brought out the refreshing water against the disgusting landscape behind it.
I was able to find harmony in balancing the weight of the poster when translating it to a horizontal layout. There was some difficulty in spotlighting the garbage imagry, but the message still rings through. Breaking down the basic elements of the design made this easy.
